Thanksgiving Decorations

Thanksgiving is the short season. It gets about three weeks of lawn time between the pumpkins coming down and the lights going up, and most yards give it nothing at all.

Both of our turkeys inflate from a built-in blower and hold with stakes, ropes and sandbags that sit inside the base. The seven foot one rides in a hot air balloon, which puts most of its height above the fence line. The six foot one sits low and wide, so it reads from a porch rather than from the road.

Neither one is a permanent structure. In a storm you unplug it, and it lies down until you plug it back in.
