She is built for the flat parts of a house. The hooks grip glass or smooth siding, the ropes take the rest of the load, and nothing goes into the lawn. On a two storey front she covers most of a window and reads from the far side of the road once it is dark.
The light sits inside the fabric, so the glow comes through the purple and green rather than off it. That is what makes a piece work at seven in the evening in late October, which is when anyone actually sees your house.
She is not a lawn figure and will not stand on her own. If your front has no glass or flat wall to take the hooks, this is the wrong piece and one of the standing figures is the right one.
